Intro: drum fill... I, I, III (head),
Piano Solo: I, II, IV, I, II, III
Bass Solo: I, II, IV
SynthAxe Solo: I, II
Outro: III... end chord!
Part II is a development of the kinds of phrases in part I. The basic
chordal movement in Part III, the head of the tune, is used for part IV.
It is transposed a half step down and is presented without the passing
chords... Really beautifully put together!
I've marked the location of the first dramatic splash with !!! in part I.
On clean guitar it might be played as a B5 chords. I suggest:
(x, 2nd fret B, 4th fret F#, x, open string B, x)
When comping over this section, part I, for solos the following more
colourful voicing seems to be played by AH:
(x, x, 11th fret C#, 8th fret D#, 7th fret F#, x)
The chord marked by ()()(), again in part I, could, in the
solo sections, be replaced by this D# minor 9th:
(11th fret D#, 9th fret G#, x, 10th fret E, x, 9th fret C#)
The chord marked by [][][] in part II, when comping, seems (?) to
be replaced by:
(9th fret C#, 11th fret G#, x, 8th fret D#, 5th fret E, x)
Note that time flows to the left and partially arpegiatted chords are
notated as follows. Here, add the G on the B string while holding
down the low Bb, D and high A:
5
8
7
x
